~ Robert Perea ~
One of the great things about owning a local gallery here in Albuquerque is being able to discover local artists like Robert Perea. His work is a reflection of his family’s deep roots here in New Mexico. He is able to capture the quality of light and life we see not only here in the city but especially out in the rural pueblos of our state. He is an untrained artist who has over time developed his own unique technique. Most of Robert’s work you will see here on our gallery site and in our Oldtown gallery is of the Spanish colonial architectural found in nearly every city and town across New Mexico, as well as the rural structures of old adobe that are so traditional in the local culture. Robert captures the look and feel of New Mexico in a wonderful and accurate way that has a simple quality and unique charm that “locals” have enjoyed for years.
Special commissions are available upon request. Please contact the gallery for details. No prints are available, as Robert only creates and crafts original one-of-a-kind works of art.
